Is it really winter?

It’s cold, but I can’t help but pause, and gaze at the frozen garden with dusk descending upon it like a soft blanket of quiet white cotton. The texture of the snow layers, glittering under the fainting sun, made for an enchanting world, and beyond this frosty world a red geranium is just the thing for a warm counterpoint—the image of our days in which we plunge from despair to hope.

May your days be warm and cozy, and all despair melt in the December sun.

Cielo, my sweet friend, you whisk me away on another 'dream' ... On these days when I am not feeling well, it gives me such a lift to just sit & enjoy your peaceful bliss from within. Carry me on, Cielo ...

Gorgeous post. I always take out fresh water for the birds when it freezes so they have a drink, & keep the feeder full for them. I love just watching them.

    TY for another sweet write.
    Merry Christmas, TTFN ~ Marydon

PS Please join me on our new blog, the old one is moot this week. TY

  9. Hi Cielo, I am so happy to hear from you. I am having a hard time visiting this season. We have been out of town sooo much. Your snow is very frosty looking. I can only imagine 8 degrees. It is 28 here today and I about froze doing some Christmas shopping.

Your are the best at finding something good out of everything. The red splash of the red geraniums is striking. Your garden sings even in winter.

    Love, Jeanne
