Baking love

My last few weeks have been filled with Nature, and visits, and gardening and flowers and tales, and paseos (outings), and baking baking...

In fact, the last few days have felt much like this cake looks... delicious!

Do you prefer cooking or baking? It would have to be baking for me. Baking it's relaxing, fun, and it makes people happy! It makes me happy! You?

Some linen love too...

Baking is definitely as creative as writing is, or poetry is, or photography is.  Oh yes, I should had been a photographer by profession.  Photographing desserts is one of my passions... cakes and such are not only the best antidote for my sweet tooth; they're so pretty to look at too! ;)

But how can a girl like me deal with all that mess...bits of butter/shortening/flour/dough all over?  That's the part I don't like about baking...  I love bread and would love to make some crusty artisan bread some day.  But the kneading part seem to be... well, too stressful for me.  But I must try, yes.   Particularly after finding this recipe on the Internet with a name like:  "No Knead Bread: so easy a 4-yr old can make it!".   "No-Knead Bread"--it sounds amazing doesn't is?  And they actually have a 4-yr old on the post making bread.  So funny, you ought to see it.

Are you one to bake your cakes and eat them too? Oh I am one of those. So I have to be very careful at that.  Particularly because I have an overactive sweet tooth. What do people who love to bake and are constantly baking do about that--I often wonder.  Sweet temptations!  ;)

Pineapple Upside-Down Cake - there are so many variations of it. This is the one I used: CHECK IT HERE.

Well my dears, my computer clock is hitting a "super late", or a "supper early" 12:17AM and I best be off now before I start another crazy tale, such as the one on my previous post; something I am very good at I'm afraid; especially when this late on the day ;)  Boy, how I wish I could sleep in my gypsy caravan-tent tonight, but that will be next week for sure...

Good night-morning to you!

  5. Cielo, I wish I could just step in the photos! Lovely and yes, you are a wonderful photographer!
Poppies on the tablecloth perhaps? Love it!
And since you asked, baking bread is my favourite right after cooking!
They say one is a science, the other an art so you may deduct rightfully I am better at the latter!
