Here comes the sun

Spring comes slowly here in this region, but although is still cold out there, a cheerful sun is already warming up the land...

Pretty soon sap will be running in the grape vine, spring heralds will be showing new life everywhere, our flowering Cherry and Pear trees will be putting out new leaves, and the garden will be graced by daffodils and colorful tulips once again... I can hardly wait! Oh, my fingers are ready to tease the warm womb of the earth, my hands ready to make contact with Nature... have you ever felt so happy that there was nothing that could bring you down? That's how I feel when I think of the arrival of spring....

If you could have anything right now, what would you have? I'm happy as is.
Happy weekend, every one!

  1. Your pics look so warm and inviting. I was happy yesterday just to see the sun. I captured it shadowing my garden gate across the SNOW. You're invited to visit my blog to check it out.

  2. Hi Cielo,
I just love that darling white hobnail lamp base that you have!
Since I live in the present and eternal now, I would have to say I wouldn't change a thing right now as I feel blessed and in good health. I see beauty in everything all around me, including the winter time! Its a time to hibernate like the bears, and ruminate on new beginnings... the spring equinox will be here soon enough!
    Warmly,
    Trish

  6. Your pretty pictures warmed me up a little. Just to think ahead to spring and to think flowers in the yard and then a vase is a wonderful thing to dream about. Thanks

  7. We are having 60 degree weather here for the first time in a long time!! Our snow only lasted two days so it was nice for that amount of time. Right now I'm looking at brown everywhere, so I am sooooo ready for spring! Love the little lamp that you have, and your vase of flowers. A dream for spring already! If I could have anything right now I guess it would be a wish for good health for family and friends. Big wish!! So, I'll settle for spring right around the corner!

  11. If I could do anything I would like to be with my husband. He is in Asia doing a one year tour whichis almost up. Each day that goes by I appreciate him more and it gets closer to his arrival. It,s been the coldest winter with no honey to warm me up, but I have gotton closer to God who has warmed my heart with hope. God bless you my friend.

  12. Spring is even later coming here but we have had such a mild winter that I am hopeful for an earlier spring this year.

  13. I wish that I could sit out on my deck with my Hubby, my two doggies a good book and a cup of coffee. Or, sit out on the deck in the evening with candles burning, staring up at the stars and listening to the silence. Maybe, that old hoot owl will come back some day to serenade us. I so miss his sweet, haunting song.
    hugs to you Cielo

  17. A delightful post.
My wish is for the Infectious Disease Society of America to stop trying to manipulate the voting over the review of the IDSA Lyme Disease Guidelines and tell it as it is, they do not know all the science. That way thousands of people including children would be allowed adequate treatment that can help them. One small ask but one big step forward in medicine.

  19. G'morn, sweet Cielo ~ I so remember our wedding gifts ... (2) hobnail lamps just like those ... oh, so long ago. As always you bring beauty forth in all that you touch & share.

I, too, await the first day of spring ... then my fingers will greet the earth.

    Have a beautiful week.
    Hugs, Marydon
