It’s -3 degrees outside. White is the color that pervades the eye and rivulets of dead leaves scuttle along the garden’s floor. Sunlit makes the ground and tree branches sparkle, and birds are busy around the birdfeeders. I can imagine the glowering clouds in inky sky dispatching faint rays of sun; warming up my window.
TODAY I SIT at my desk, here at the office, thinking of all these things, looking out with my mind’s eye at the blizzard of wild garden-swirling-snows and birds, and my comfy chair by the bedroom window. My soul is trapped. I yearn for freedom.

Wow -3 degrees, here where I live in Alaska we have not had any temps yet in the minus. We are 23 degrees at 9:00 am this morning with clear skies. This must be very hard on the plants you have no?
ReplyDeleteHola Cielo, me encanta cada detalle de la foto y esas rosas blancas ... Que tengas una feliz semana. Besos, Ana
ReplyDeleteMuy lindo los muebles blancos.

ReplyDeleteWe are waiting fo the snow, I think I need it to get into the holiday spirit. I love the first snow, I love how it covers everything. I cannot beleive that it is December and we still have nothing here in Western New York.
ReplyDeleteBrrr. I knew this was coming but I wasn't ready. We're bracing for the first big blasts in Missouri. Your garden lives all winter in our hearts.
ReplyDeleteHi Cielo,
ReplyDeleteIt will be Friday night before you know it and then you can enjoy sitting by your lovely window once again!
Take care,
Carolyn
The picture you paint of you thoughts of the garden are so sweet & romantic. But, the last statement makes me sad for you. Too bad you are at work. I can tell you yearn for your nest. HUGS! Charlene
