Winter pleasures

Outside is cold and gloomy... I woke up this morning to curls of fog, almost like ghosts unfurling and traveling the garden floor, breathing in the austerity of early winter... now winter nights increase the number of their hours, and clouds during the day dress themselves in gray... let candles glow and chimneys blaze...
...and lets cozy up with gardening books by the window, and pretty cups overflowing with our favorite hot drinks...

Sweet tea, hot chocolate or our own fancy coffee drinks to warm our spirit! Mine, a yummy Cappuccino, sprinkled with raw sugar, please!

Summer has his joys, winter his delights!

    Love the cozy throw and the warm coffee. It looks wonderful. In the desert it never gets that cold, but when it is really cold, I love a big fire in the fireplace and look out and see the snow. That is always a dream. Something I really enjoyed living in Oregon. Hope you have a wonderful day. Hugs, Marty

    I simply adore your writing and your blog! I can feel every word.

    When I was younger, I never liked Winter except Christmas of course. Nowadays, I love cuddling up with my favorite warm drink, either Mocha, Earl Grey Tea or a Cappucino; nestl with a good book or sit with my husband and watch a nice movie together.

    I love the Winter also with all the baking I do, all the crafts I get into to keep myself busy while indoors a lot and just having fun!~

    I do love winter. :)
    I love the nights closing in early.. feeling all safe and cozy inside of our home.
    I love to see the sun glisten off of the snow making it looking like diamonds shining away.
    I love the crispness in the air. The bright stars at night.
    Making snowmen & women with my kids.
    I love making all the nice comfort foods that are too heavy for the warmer months...
    What's not to love? Right?

    Well, I don't especially like winter.
    But---if I sit down with a pretty cup of my favorite hot drink and a book and some white roses....I could certainly enjoy that.

    I don't like the short days and COLD and WIND

    but I like snuggling with my hubby by the fire, I like my frosty nose after a crisp walk, I like soup in the crock pot, and jingle bells

    What wonderful pictures. I can just see the steam rising off of my strong black coffee as I gaze at the snow slowing drifting down outside my window. The birds are happily dining at the feeder while my two dogs chase each other in a game of hide-and-go-seek. Thanks for the lovely images and pictures.

    I do enjoy a cozy cup of warmth in the winter - be it coffee, tea or coco I like them all! I'm a summer girl at heart, but the warmth of a cozy fire keeps me content through the cold months. It looks so cozy at your place!
