Indian Summer

It feels like a dream… it feels as if I’m walking on cotton candy clouds. Indian summer, how very lovely and wonderful you are!
Shade, shine, fruits, flowers, leaves; myriads of feathers, birds and butterflies… all of my senses are aroused. I love the feel in the air, the smells of apples around the apple tree, the colors to behold and the sound of the wind. This time of the year reminds me of velvet! Velvet, cashmere, wool—can seasons be associated with textile? Or how textile feels to the touch, or maybe a taste, like the taste of a fruit?

I love this wonderful period of sunny, warm weather when you can’t genuinely tell if it’s still summer or the beginning of fall. Is just bliss… pure bliss.

I want to feel, really feel… feel life, feel happiness with my very own fingers… I want to love and be loved, I want to sing and shout joy… do you feel like that sometimes too?

Is a perfect moment ever long enough, or a happy time, or even a beautiful Indian summer day? Ah yes, magic is all around us. I say, be open to it at any given moment...

  3. Yes! What a lovely reminder to notice the beauty around us, the deep greens and deep shade of late summer, and the cooling breezes! Your roses are still beautiful!

I think fabrics can be associated with season, too. I begin to think of flannels and plaids in glorious autumn colors. If you've never touched a relatively new kind of fabric called "Minkee", do get to your nearest quilt shop for that soft delight!

    Hugs!
