Party... party... It's a "Victorian Tea Party"! Part II

I still remember the first time I read “Alice in Wonderland”. Funny, how one same thing can convey such an array of different feelings in different people... what did you feel? What was Alice in Wonderland to you?
For me it was sort of forget Alice, forget Wonderland! I was immediately transported into a wonderful magical world all of my own...
I’m spinning spinning....

...traveling in time, out in the cosmos... leaving behind the clearing with the Mad Hatter's tea party... behind is the Red Queen's garden gate...

spinning spinning

Where I'm I?
I’m peering through a small passage, not much larger than a rat-hole (usually that's my window - hehehe) into the loveliest garden I’d ever seen... Ah, how I’ve longed to get out of that dark hall (I call it “winter”), and be here, just here, under the precious flowering pear tree...

...and be one with birds, and wander about among beds of bright roses and cool green grass.
The sun has return to the land, and my little world is once again bathed in warm sunshine. Soon summer will be rolling over the hills like a colorful blanket... I can almost hear the roses singing in the balmy morning air, and the rolling clouds above me here, light and fluffy.

My nose twitches, rabbit like (magic, not allergies), as I realize that my dreams of warm weather and a lovely garden have finally come a reality... I’m listening to what speaks in the blood:

Greeting the morning in the garden, bare feet in cool grass, pink lemonade in sparkling glasses... and the list goes on... What’s the song in your heart? I’d love to hear about it! But before you tell me, I have prepared some tea in anticipation to our big day....

Wouldn't you stay? Teapot is on, the cups are waiting, favorite chairs anticipating, no matter what I have to do, my friend there's always time for you.

While we sip tea we can talk about our upcoming "Victorian Tea Party". Are you working on your teacup vignette yet? If you haven’t, get your camera ready and snap snap snap.... be romantic, be creative, be YOU. Here are some pictures I'd taken of my teacups that can serve you as samples of what you can do...

You have until Sunday, May 9 to send me your favorite picture. READ ALL ABOUT IT HERE! Please copy and paste our logo on your blog so others would know... and remember, you can also join us if you don't have a blog, let me know, and we will include you too!!!
All my fairies and leprechauns are working extra hours in the preparation of our party and are so excited with the party buzz afloat around here... I can hardly wait to see what lovely collection we would come up with...

Prepare a feast for the eyes and heart with simplicity and gratitude. I'd love to hear about your tea time plans for the party! What will you be serving? My email: cielosky47@yahoo.com

Lovely post Cielo I think I must have been too young when I was read Alice in Wonderland because i always found it quite scarry.

Lewis Carrol actually lived in Guildford and there are several statues and things plus a plaque on his house near the Castle in memory of him.

We sometimes walk along the river past the sand bank which inspired his writing of Alice tumbling down the rabbit hole I am told. near St Catherines.

What a delightful post Cielo darling, one second into reading it, I run into the kitchen and made a cup of tea and brought it back with me so that I can really sit down to take tea with you. Luv, you have a brilliant idea and I would love to participate, so count me in for now. I say for now, because I am going away for a week or so and that plus my crazy life of late, I never know what will happen....nothing I hope. I will contact you when I return with my status. I also want to join you, Wanda and Sandi with the Tuesday tea, so let's keep our fingers crossed for my life to slow down a bit. Take care darling and will talk soon.

Love & Hugs
Duchess

Hi Cielo,

I'm new to your blog, but I like it so much! I would love to join the "Victorian Tea Party", but I'm not sure I can come with a picture as beautiful and romantic as yours. I'll try anyway!

Have a nice day!

I've got the logo on my sidebar! I was at the antique mall today looking around for pretty teacups. I came home empty. So may have to use what I've got.
