Outside, a cold wind is howling, all morning the rain has been pelting the windows... I’m enchanted by the music it makes—rain and glass... the sound soothes my soul, tea, rain, the perfect moment... I'm taken back to an age where ladies took tea and couples waltzed as string ensembles played. I'm there, in a place I’d never seen, or even heard of... a place only possible inside of me; somewhere lost in imagination, where gentlemen walked out togged in bowlers and gold-tipped canes, and the women on their arms led dainty dogs on leashes.
Perfect weather for the mood. Creaks and crashes and whirls of wind and rain over a cup of tea!
When winter draws near, it's time to dream... time to discover life over the simplicity and tranquility of a cup of tea. There’s nothing more enjoyable for me than a cup of tea deep in sweet reflection, looking at the wintry world outside the window from the coziness of my warm home… just by myself....

Oh my goodness, you almost make winter seem inviting (and I do not like winter!!).. I just love your post and photographs!! This past summer I purchased a robin's egg blue quilt/coverlet at TJ Maxx for our bedroom (which will be getting a much needed makeover after the holidays!!)... The coverlet I purchased is the exact same pattern as the robin's egg/pink rose pillow sham in your third photo - I just love it - and I love all your romantic pillows! Oh my gosh, what a bed to climb into and browse through a favorite magazine!... Donna

You are such a weaver of tales, I can't believe you're not an author. Your blog is spectacular. I am lost in another world when I visit it, like visiting a secret garden, wafting in heavenly scents, touching the velvet like texture of a David Austin rose petal, a delicate white rose with just a touch of the palest pink, perhaps a muse or two, and I'm all alone. Hello Cielo, I am participating in your event. I hope you do not mind I am sharing our daughters kitchen. I helped her decorate it so I feel myself in that room. I picked out all but the paint color. Next week I will concentrate on my home. I have shown my home quite a bit and now that I see what you are posting it gives me a better idea how I can show my home in many different ways.

Your post is lovely and it made me smile to think of gentlemen in the old days and yes the ladies in their beautiful gowns drinking their tea with their pinkies out. I love your pillows, they are so beautiful.
