A garden fairy tale

The cutest little fairy came to bless my garden the other day...

Know what it is to be a fairy? It is to be so little that the elves can reach to whisper in your ear, it is to turn pumpkins into coaches, and mice into horses, lowness into loftiness, and nothing into everything…

She is made of sugar and spice, and everything nice...

And she's soft as wool ‘n sweet as honey, pretty as a rose and cute and funny...

Her magic sparkles everywhere….

She can dance and leap and sing and laugh with pure fairy cheers…

She knows that morning dew are dainty little stars and rabbits are gnomes…

She saw a bee go in its hive. She’d never seen a bee before! So she waited there expecting magic to take over... over the garden, over the rainbow! And sure enough along came more bees buzzing about. Then, one by one, they all flew out. Butterflies were everywhere too... over trees and under leaves and spinning in the air…

“Mima--how does your garden grow?”—she asked, and so I said: “With cockleshells, and silver bells, and pretty little fairies in pretty pink dresses….

Many people don't believe in fairies, but really, if you look real close you’d see they're everywhere… in your garden, in your house, in the morning, in the evening and at night...
It was a magical spring day here in the garden, indeed...
Mima was beyond herself, dancing with joy! God gave her a garden with its lovely trees, and gorgeous blooms, but he also gave her something else: someone to hug to laugh and dance and sing to play in the garden and talk to flowers, so God gave her a little grand daughter with laughing eyes and bouncing curls and a joyful heart...
yes, the world when shared with grand daughters greatly resembles Paradise!

ADORABLE! What a lucky Mima you are! Some how my little fellows just don't seem the same... the other night they were chasing the frog with a stick & I had to get on to them to leave the poor frog be! She is so sweet. Enjoy her as they grow up so fast. I have missed you my friend.

The little pink fairy looks just like her Mima--especially her beautiful hair. Just look in the garden for her reflection flitting about, teasing you until she can come once again in human form.

Dear Cielo.....we are kindred spirits where our little grand daughters are concerned. You are so blessed.....how wonderful to dance with fairies, and be at one with the butterflies and bees....

I felt my heart turn towards sadness at the end of your post....you will miss your pretty pink princess.....but remember it is not the time spent but the quality of the time.......if anyone can make magic, it is Cielo.....

My thoughts are yours.....

A truly magical (and wonderful) way to fill a day. Thanks so much for letting me take a peek. I, too, look forward to her return and another post of equal delight.

To have been present for the first bee sighting . . . *sigh* . . . pure joy. : D

You do not know me but I am Tesa's great aunt. She is named after my mother. I have not enjoyed something so beautiful. Tesa looks so much like her Aunt Cindy. I have enjoyed your garden and it so perfect for that sweet child. The love that flows in your family is so precious and Tesa is so blessed to be part of your family. Enjoy that precious child as you do as effident in your pictues. Tesa's other grandmother sent me this site so I hope you do not mind. It warmed my heart today. Thank you
