World of Treasures Party

Welcome to the WORLD OF TREASURES PARTY where everythig is possible, and life a magical chest full of possibilities! Enjoy each and every treasure given to you, but remember: Treasure the love you receive above all. It will survive long after your good health has vanished.

Have fun!

Nothing can quite match the pulling power of a memorabilia that have been passed down from mothers to daughters; like this unique handmade cross pin from Susana, at Para Quien Pase. This lovely cross once belonged to Susana's mother, who always kept it close to her heart; pinned on her night gown. Visit Susana to see more.

We value many things in life, particularly that which enhances and improves the quality of our lives in some way, but the treasures of the heart are the most valuable of all treasures. This charming Puss'n'Boots cookie jar, creamer, and salt and pepper from Shawnee, are treasured by Jennifer, at Morning Glories in Round Rock, not because of its material value, but because they are treasures of her heart. Visit Jennifer and learn why this lovely Puss'n'Boots collection is so dear to her.

A nice big empty wall is a decorating opportunity not to be missed--often the place for something a little fanciful; like these lovely mirrors, from Ballerina Girl, at Roller Coaster Ride. The mirrors are called Cajamarquinas from a region in Peru called Cajamarca. They are all painted from behind and then sealed with wood on the back. Ballerina Girl, and her husband started this collection back on the days when they were dating. Now, every time a family member or friend from Peru comes to visit, they ask them to bring them a mirror. They now have 72! Visit Ballerina Girl to see more lovely treasures from the land of the Incas.

LdyDy, at Roses Cakes and Pearls has a charming bridal doll collection, you would not want to miss. From antique to modern, to the soft blush on each doll's cheeks, to the innocence of sweet brides on their wedding day, and dresses made from sheer and delicately embroidered organdy, this lovely collection is one of a kind. My friend and long time blog reader, Beverly Bouman, don't own a blog, but she enjoys the beauty, friendship and the special comradeship that exists among the security blogging community, and she also love to participate, so I'm sharing with you all her lovely treasures:

Antique baby buggy which sits in her dining room. It holds her mother's doll, Lucy, from 1920 and Beverly's own doll, Elizabeth, from the 50's. They are precious to her!

A painted glass container and cup--memorabilias from Beverly's father's side of the family that goes back to the turn of the century.

This sampler is from the Netherlands and was made by Beverly's husbands grandmother in 1890. The date is embroidered in the corner. She was 10 years old when she made it in school. The girls had to stay inside at recess for needle work while the boys played outside. Oh yes, I still remember the "staying inside while the boys played outside" part of growing up in Europe.

Beverly purchased this Victorian doll house last year and haven't had a chance to furnish it yet, but that doesn't matter, I think is just as lovely the way it is... don't you think so!

This painted pewter coffee urn belonged to my mother-in-law and is from the Netherlands. She inherited it from an aunt and told the aunt that she would probably have the paint removed. The aunt said, "If you do that, you can't have it!" The paint is still on!

This lovely Dutch piece of furniture is called a "kast" and belongs in Beverly's living room. It is from her husbands house in the Netherlands.

To Jen, at 11th Heaven's Home, her newly design kitchen is her dearest treasure... with seven differnt centers: The baking center-The serving center-The dish display center-The cooking center-The clean-up center-The breakfast center-The plating center-The eating center-and The computer center, is no wonder why this Heaven's Home Kitchen is called a favorite.
